Congratulations on surviving the first term. It's not easy to get by, especially with a smile on your face! Teaching really is amazing for ups and downs, which is probably what makes it such a good job.

Teaching is one of those professions that requires emotional resilience. I've just been reading the blog of an experienced science teacher and he is voicing similar exhaustion to that which you describe. You have the advantage, on the discipline front, of taking the kids by surprise at the moment, and getting their mouths to do something noisy that is acceptable for the duration of your class, if needs be. :)

Good luck for tomorrow. I was an NQT last year so know how you're feeling. Depending on what sort of school you're in the kids will probably be really well behaved this first week so make the most of it and make sure you really bollock them if they step out of line by the tiniest amount!
